Is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich a healthy lunch? Granted, the jelly has sugar in it (sorry, but I cannot STAND artificial sweeteners in anything!) but by lunchtime I can use the energy that a little bit of sugar provides. The drink of choice with the afore-mentioned sandwich is water.

Hey Dennis!
We love peanut butter & jelly! We use organic, no-sugar added peanut butter (the Kirkland brand at Costco is very good and a good buy as well). Sprouted whole grain bread. Even with real jelly, the peanut butter prevents a blood-sugar spike. I wouldn't do it every day, because the peanut butter is very high in fat, but once in a while can't hurt. Remember, all things in moderation! :-)

Dear Dennis: Thanks for sharing. I know natural peanut butter is the best for us, and whole grain bread. Good for you not liking other sweetners. They are harmful to our temples. It is a proven fact back up by christain doctors and comentaries. Peanut butter a good sopurce of protein. Here in Texas(near Tyler texas) we can buy Spippy natural peanut butter. Have a great Thanksgiving. I haven't posted any lately as have been busy with others of us training under our great leader Teresa. For breaking blood line curses. Keep me posted . texastar99

Hello Guys its depends upon how much you eat. Peanut butter is mostly made up of healthier body fat, but synthetic jelly is all sugar.

It's a heavy lunch. If you are gaining weight then you should avoid such heavy sandwiches. But if you are slim and a fit person then you can take it.
