Here we are, the few, the proud, the weight-losers, keeping our little tropical island cleaned and swept, tidy and neat, just waiting for that cruise ship to dock and unload! Yes sir, just any ol' time now. I'm wearing shades, cuz I'm dealing cards. Playing solitaire, mostly. Some other friendly games with renkymac and Texasstar99. Oh, by the way, sugar free ice cream works, in small amounts. Satisfies the occasional (yes, occasional) craving. I'm keeping an objective outlook on myself to avoid too much craving. Have you ever tried sprinkling Post Grape Nuts on ice cream? It might sound crazy, but it really is good, and it's kind of neat eating crunchy ice cream.

Dennis: You are quite the good friend. I love your sense of humor! You and renkmac are the only onews who respond to my e-mails or posts, Guess the rest are busy at this time of year. I pray that you have a blessed Christmas! I will eat crunch ice cream and think of all of my great friends that are really trying to lose weight. If we encourage each other it will give us great results. I have reached my goal and will do all I need to to never re-gain any of it. I give all the praise to my Lord and King Jesus!!! His and yours, texasstar

I love our little tropical island! And of course, I love the company!
Texasstar, congratulations on making goal! It has taken me 6 months to lose the last 10 pounds, and now I am 5 pounds away from my goal. Slow going it seems like, but hopefully I can do it before summer!
Dennis, I will try the crunchy ice cream! I love yogurt and granola for the same reason- creamy and crunchy at the same time. I'm hooked on Kashi Go Lean Crunch right now, I just eat 3/4 of a cup instead of the full serving to conserve calories, but I'm telling you, that stuff is good on anything!
I expect to see the cruise ship pull in after the 1st of the year. All those New Years resolutions... It will be one year on Jan 4th since I started my journey. I have learned so much, about myself and my God. He really is faithful to complete the work He starts.
PS: What happened to our captain? Is she busy doing other things these days?

I'm not sure where the captain is at the moment. I saw where she looked in for a moment early in the week, but since she didn't leave any messages, we might assume she is: (1) Satisfied with our present course of action; or (2) Busy with pressing and weighty matters of state that come from being called to a prophetic office of the Lord. In any event, the Lord Admiral Jesus Christ is keeping an eye on things.
Time to go with my wife to the grocery store. She needs to stock up on some stuff to bake sweet breads for a Caring Service at church tomorrow. That's a Christmas service just for people who have lost family members this past year. It's hard for many to celebrate Christmas the first time since losing someone close.
