Hi All (by that I mean Dennis ) I have a job interview on Thursday morning at the courthouse. I am interviewing for a state job in the small claims dept, which is totally out of my comfort zone, but I am trusting God's leading in this and so I applied. They had over 100 applications and 20 people got interviews, so a lot of competition. I had a heart attack when I got called for the interview...all my clothes are too big (YAY!) so my daughter ransacked her closet and we made a quick trip to Goodwill and one to Ross and I actually have several "business" outfits now. (I've worn jeans to work for the past 30 years! Yikes!) Please pray that I would find favor and that I would be able to just be myself...this is the "first impressions" interview. If you get through this one you get a second, more in-depth interview. I didn't think I wanted this job initially, I heard about it right before I lost my other job and got my application in on the closing date! Hmmm, coincidence?

Well, that job interview was a total bust, but a good experience as far as practicing my interview skills. 2 of the 5 questions they asked were about how you deal with angry people...this told me something about the job! I hope they don't call me back! Doubt that they will, the woman who interviewed before me is a court clerk in another town, and the woman after me worked in a law office for 8 years. Totally out of my element! Going to keep trying, though. God is in charge!

Hang in there, renkymac. Who knows where this will lead. Keep all of us (read, "Dennis") informed.
