I'm new to proboards, and I found out how to get email notifies. It works through the Bookmark function, but you first have to do this: If there is a thread you want to keep track of, click the "Bookmark" option at the top of the the thread. Then go to your profile page, and you will see a 'manage bookmarks' link. You will be able to modify your notifications settings there. bb, p.

Thanks, Paul,
I tried it and it worked! I am new to all this also. So grateful to have others share what they know/learn so I can use this website to its fullest. Or would this be called a blog? You used the word proboards. Is that the name of this type of communication?

Hi Leslie, Glad that helped. I think this would be considered a Web forum, whereas a blog is short for "web log", which usually involves an ongoing commentary of articles of varying lengths. "Proboards" is the name of this site (look at the URL up in your Web browser's address field). In some cases they do things a little bit differently than some others I've used. Very often there's a setting when you make a reply that allows turning notifications off/on on a per-thread basis (there is here, but it's behind the Bookmark function), and the general account setting for notifications is in a more central spot. So I went searching and found how to deal with subscriptions on Proboards, and here it is. Be blessed, paul

Thanks for your tip, I am still looking for a comment I posted a week ago. I didn't realise I could bookmark threads, great.

Hi Tiffany,
YW! To find your own posts, one way is to click on your name. The resulting screen should list most recent post and have a search button for more. The main Search function at the top-left of each page seems ill-equipped to find posts by posters.
