Just a short and simple request for prayer. I have to get up Monday morning at 3:00 am, in order to get to work by 4:30, in order to be on the road by 5:00, in order to be on site 103 miles away by 6:30 (speed limit 70). Two part request: (1) To be able to get to sleep Sunday evening; when something like this comes up, I have trouble falling asleep the night before, and (2) waking up alert and full of joy at 3:00 in the morning.
I'm groaning just thinking about it.

Father grant Dennis sleep that is perfect for the job. Multiply minutes to feel like hours for his body and mind. Spirit, wake Dennis just on time and with a great feeling of looking forward to the day, rather than tiredness and dread... give him a feeling of anticipation and expectation of meeting You in the early morning hours. I know that You will so I thank You so much dear Lord... through Jesus I pray, Amen...
be blessed Jewel

Hi Dennis,
My hubby is a log truck driver who gets up every day at 3:00 am. I will try to remember to pray for you when his alarm goes off on Monday morning! Be safe!

3:00 am every weekday morning? I always wondered if log truck drivers were still crazy (I've worked with them before). The evidence speaks for itself... Seriously, thank you.

A bunch of crazy old guys, emphasis on old! There are no young guys in the logging business anymore, at least not in the woods. My hubby is 61 and is not the oldest by a long shot! I don't think there is anyone driving who is under 40 or so. Plus you would have to be crazy to go halfway up a mountain on a road (not) that is basically just a cat track along a ridge top and then drive in reverse 1/2 mile to get to the loader! I went with him one time, and I was exhausted by noon. But we are thankful that he is home every night and that we can afford to keep doing this so he doesn't have to go over the road. God really is good!

Followup to my prayer request: Thank you all who prayed for me. I was able to sleep very well Sunday night, and was "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" at 3:00 the next morning. In fact, I got to work 15 minutes early (4:15 'stead of 4:30). When all was said and done, I arrived at the job site, Mile Marker 103.5 on Highway 550, at EXACTLY 6:30!

I am new to using the chat room. Could some one of you tell me how? I want to be able to pray in agreement with those having problems conquering "eating of certain foods". I do not have streaming viedo, just plain old aol. dial up. all I can get in my small town of Rusk,Texas. I love all of you guys so much! Thanks, texasstar99,
