For the past week now I have been conscious of our Lord while driving my truck at work. I used to drive as though He were in the passenger seat of my Kenworth, but that was a sometime thing. These past several days, however, I have been almost constantly aware that I should be driving as though He were driving. This is something I neither sought nor looked for. It is something He has done entirely on His own, without my seeking it. I have gladly submitted myself to cooperate with Him in this new thing in my life, and I find I enjoy it, a lot! I am more patient with stupid drivers (yes, they're still out there!), and pray for them at every encounter. I use the horn a lot less, having become aware that horns are seldom an expression of God's love for others. (Duh.) (Footnote: horns are okay when a dangerous situation arises, but that is not too often.) I am also aware that He is very pleased that I have allowed Him control in my life in this matter. It seems He enjoys driving 18 wheelers, too. If you sense me smiling as I write this, you're quite perceptive. Although driving is not directly related to eating, His Lordship has to do with submitting areas of our daily lives to His control. Thought I'd share this (new one to me) with you all. Life lived in and with our Lord certainly is wonderful!

I was smiling too, as I read this post! Reminded me that a couple of years ago, my hubby became aware of representing God on the CB radio. An interesting thing happened over time...all of the christian truck drivers have come out of hiding, and the radio has cleaned up significantly, at least on the channels that the local guys use. Recently one of the truck drivers who is not a believer asked my husband why he and another driver call each other "brother." Isn't it great how God can use even the most insignificant detail of our lives to accomplish His purposes?
PS: My hubby Mike would say that God does enjoy driving 18 wheelers, but He likes long-hood Kenworths the best! LOL!

So True, Dennis. God doesn't just want Lordship in this area or that area...He wants it all! Blessings - teresa
