Just a brief report that my craving for second helpings at meals has mostly disappeared. Mostly. In truth, it has diminished a lot, and I feel better after meals. As for desserts, well, if it has chocolate, it has caffeine, and that keeps me awake when I should be going to sleep at night; so, I don't have dessert if it has chocolate. And it seems the few desserts in our house have chocolate. The result is that my dessert consumption has also diminished.
Now I shall see how many read and respond to this post.

Hi Dennis! Evening eating has always been my downfall, so if you are forgoing dessert, more power to ya! My diet is all screwy since my surgery, but my weight has held stable so thank the Lord for small blessings!
I sleep better when I've had a little evening snack, although I call that "dessert". Here are some of my ideas for dessert, easy and healthy:
fruit fruit and more fruit yogurt and a bit of granola peanut butter & jelly toast with a glass of milk a small bowl of cold cereal diet popsicles or fudgesicles sugar free jello 1 graham cracker with a little peanut butter and a glass of milk
Glad to see you are still here! Sorry I've been gone so long... Renee

Good to see you back Renee. I have recently discovered vanilla yogurt, better than ice cream. Actually, much better. I tried a little bit of ice cream the other evening, and just didn't like the aftertaste that lingered so long. I like most of what you listed for "dessert". I avoid graham crackers, though...no one (me) can eat just one! Give me a box of graham crackers and a large glass of milk, and that box is going to be empty and going into recycling by the time I'm done.
