I have been working through a really sore lower back for the past week or so, not feeling well and having trouble sitting or standing or doing anything for long. I went to my chiropractor yesterday and he asked me what I had done...couldn't say for sure but I have been exercising really hard for a few weeks now. He told me I was being over-enthusiastic! LOL!
I usually try to exercise 5 days a week, but yesterday I didn't work out at all, I just couldn't make myself do it. So this morning, I woke up and decided to just do a light workout. I reached way to the bottom of my workout video pile and found my copy of Walk the Walk by Leslie Sansone, put it in and chose the1 mile walk. What a pleasure...slower pace, good music, uplifting pep talk. She reminded me that body, mind and spirit are all connected - whatever affects one affects them all. It was a good return to the basics, as that was my first exercise video way back when I was just beginning this journey.
I stay really busy with church related activities. I run a food pantry (ironic, isn't it!) and contribute to the creative arts department, but I remembered this morning that I can glorify God by my little 20 minute workout just as easily if my heart is right! And anything I can do to glorify God is awesome!

I agree...the goal is not to set workout or weight loss records, it is to bring God (and His glory) into our exercise and eating, and let Him direct us in it. It sounds like you are off to a good start there, and that the Lord showed you an important concept. Keep on keeping on! - teresa
